Grandeur of Jewellery, Textiles and History with Jayashree Paramesh
The dates for 2025 and 2026 will be released soon.

India Beat is very excited to be collaborating with Jayashree Paramesh for this unique tour which has been especially designed to introduce the important and historic cities of Northern India. Combined with this we will provide fantastic opportunities to experience first-hand some of the wonderful craft techniques that are traditional to this region.

We start in India’s capital city, Delhi, where you will be introduced to the bustling Chandi Chowk bazaar, taken to visit the sites of Humayun’s Tomb and Qutb Minar, led on a specially-guided walk through the lanes of old Delhi and invited to explore the wonderful shopping at Khan Market.

From Delhi you will see the iconic Taj Mahal before arriving in Jaipur, the beautiful Pink Capital City of Rajasthan. In Jaipur your days will be spent discovering the City Palace, gem stone shopping for Jaipur’s famous precious and semi-precious coloured stones, interacting with elephants, learning how to create India’s delicious curries and seeing first-hand the elaborate embroidery techniques used to decorate Indian saris.

From Jaipur we end our tour in the Rajasthani countryside at the family-owned Rohet Garh hotel. We will visit the majestic blue-city of Jodhpur, take jeep safaris to visit the local villages and ride camels into the desert. This magical, trip-of-a-lifetime, provides an unforgettable glimpse into the local life and culture, history and craftsmanship of this vibrant part of India.

Divine South: Shopping, Spices and Sea with Jayashree Paramesh
The dates for 2025 and 2026 will be released soon.

We are very excited to be able to offer this beautiful tour of Southern India. We start in Mumbai where you stay in the lively sea-side Promenade neighbourhood, Colaba. Facing on to the Gateway of India we will explore many of the famous landmarks of Mumbai, visit the best boutiques and delve into Mumbai’s extraordinary culture.

From Mumbai we fly to Kochi, Jayashree’s childhood home, to explore one of the paradises of the world, Kerala. Our tranquil journey begins with a spiritual introduction in the village of Kalady where you will spend a peaceful morning mediating and practicing simple yoga. We will see Kochi harbour by boat and visit the tiny shops in Jew Town.

We will then drive to the region’s lush plantations for hiking and to learn about Indian spices and their uses in home cooking before journeying on to Kerala’s famous Backwaters. Here we will gently explore the fascinating network of canals and lagoons before our final sea-side stop at the gorgeous Marari Beach Resort.
